super fascinated by muse/wife/collaborator to rick owens, michele lamy. as if being the partner to one of fashion's most eccentric characters weren't enough she is truly mystifying on her own.  her personal style, which is equal parts gypsy and goth, is visually arresting. these portraits by steven klein are so rich and the film this eternal life offers a charming glimpse into her life with owens.

so dreamy

it's no good unless it's real

on moving to california

nothing makes it seem like my life is in shambles more than prepping for a cross-country move. despite knowing for thousands of months and thus being able to prepare mentally its as if overnight it hit me: I'M MOVING TO CALIFORNIA. below a small sampling of some of the things swimming in my head (in addition to the usual boy/daydreaming/kittens/clothes/everyday minutiae.)

 

• must purchase incredible stainless steel cookware set

• i have two wall-to-wall closets to fill and a 50-60 average temperature to deal with. time to buy a new wardrobe!

• how do i ship +50 pairs of boots and the same amount of shoes?

• cover letter writing, resume tweaking NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE

• omg SO excited about treasure hunting at salvage yards with eli

• wait, i have TWO wall-to-wall closets and a spare bedroom that can potentially be filled with dozens of rolling racks (did someone say enormous walk-in closet?)

• stop being a shitty friend and hang out with your friends tons before you leave

• must update my w, elle and lucky magazine subscription address

• will there be nothing but hippies and patchouli in my near future?

• living across the street from a trader joes means see you every night ruby port

• from here on out monday's will consist of trying to organize my life (no fun) 

• googling things like how to fly with kittens or mission chinese or sf neighborhoods
